Making big purchases.
Is there a good way to make a big purchase? If so, how?
When you need to make an expensive purchase such as a car, house, etc., you can use time before you buy in various productive ways.
First is the obvious, saving money for the down payment. This may take some time depending on how much you need and how much you're able to set aside each month. Having a separate savings account is the best way to make sure this money is getting the best interest rate, while keeping it out of regular checking/debit accounts where it's easy to spend.
Second is to use the concept of a seed prayer. A seed prayer is designed to get the unseen forces of the universe working with you in your goal. An example of a seed prayer is if you were saving for a house, then each month you would set aside a certain amount in a savings account for the down payment. At the same time you would give some nominal amount to a homeless shelter. This ritual correlates both your view of abundance with helping the universe with abundance and assistance. At the time of this giving to the non-profit, you can say to yourself, "This is what I can give, so that I can have what I wish." By the same token, if you're saving for a car down payment, then you can research methods of donating your old car to a non-profit organization when you buy your new car, assuming you can afford to do that. If not, then research some other method to give back while you're saving for the larger purchase.
Third, we recommend that you work through an exercise to attract the perfect car/house to you. Visualize the car in your driveway. Does it fit? Are there any difficulties with the image? If so, why? Work through any difficulties. Test drive the car you want. Test drive cars outside or above the threshold you can afford. Try on all the possibilities. Discover that point where how much is enough? How much is too much? Or even if you had the money, would you still buy it? If you're attracting your perfect home, drive around neighborhoods, on different days and different times of the day. Go grocery shopping where you might end up shopping if you lived in that area. Do you enjoy these exercises? Do you like the shops and local areas?
Finally, when it comes to the actual purchase time, ask for guidance from your Finance Angels or the Universe. Amazing wisdom can come from surprising sources and in surprising ways. The Universe really wants to help us get what we want, all we have to do is include it in our process.
In the end, taking time to work through the energy of a large/expensive purchase is worthwhile, even if you have the money right now.
