Abundance Tip: Living your mythic vision everyday

To understand what it means to live your mythic vision everyday is to first piece apart that statement: What is your mythic vision? Do you even have a mythic vision? Have you got a sense of it? Will it change? What does it mean to live it? How do you do that every day?

Your mythic vision is what you are called to do in this life. Imagine it as a candle on a far off mountaintop. On a clear day or evening, you can see the candle, but sometimes it is obscured. It could be a tough day that makes that candle seem obscured. Nonetheless, you still know the candle is burning and it's there in the distance, even if you can't currently see it. In this way, your mythic vision is a guide for your life. It lets you know that you're on track, going in the right direction. When you're going in that right direction, your actions feed your soul's desires. A soul that has been fed is a full and happy, contented soul. One that is living the life it came here to do.

Everyone has a mythic vision. If you imagine it as this candle at a mountaintop, then there is only one candle that is alight for you. This candle has been alight just for you throughout your whole life, offering itself as a guide or beacon to help you know when you're feeding your soul's desires. If you think you don't have a mythic vision, then it may be that you're currently living down in a valley and can't see, or get a sense of, that candle. Or maybe other things have obscured that light so you don't have a sense of it (anymore).

But you'll always know when you're following your mythic vision. It comes on like a gut feeling. Perhaps you "just know" when something is "right". It could be where you live, a car you buy, a job you take, or a person you marry. But you just "know".

By the same token, you know when you're not living your mythic vision. Things aren't going right for you. Life's a struggle. Maybe you're unhappy or depressed. You may be trying to fill this hole inside with food, drugs, alcohol, the internet, or other activities/substances. Essentially, you know that things just aren't right.

The most important aspect of your mythic vision is that it does NOT change throughout your life. Your mythic vision has very specific qualities that must be fulfilled, but they be fulfilled in different ways. What can, and often does, change is how to go about fulfilling the mythic vision. That is, your destiny may change, or the way you go about fulfilling the mythic vision, but the vision itself doesn't change.

If you're still not sure about your mythic vision, imagine that you're surfing. You've caught the wave. You on the wave is equivalent to you living your mythic vision. What's behind you is the past. What's in front of you is where the wave is going, but its as yet unformed or not created. But you living your destiny create the wave in front of you, and you sweep along on the ride of your life, the wind's in your hair, a smile on your face. Life is good! If you get too far forward in the wave, you're riding on air (spirit) that cannot support you; if you get too far back in the wave, you'll get swept away (by consensual reality) living not your mythic vision, but someone else's vision or a vision you've accepted by cultural expectations. Living your mythic vision is riding this wave. Waking up every day ready to live in the moment to fulfill your destiny.

Still wondering the direction of your candle on the mountaintop? Imagine it's out there. Now where is it? What qualities does it have? How are you fulfilling those today? Where are you not? How can you add those in or change things around so you can?

Great despcrtion Russell!  I especially like the metaphor of surfing the wave!  Really great visuals to go along with your description!

I am going to ponder that bit about .... "your destiny may change, or the way you go about fulfilling the mythic vision, but the vision itself doesn't change."  I guess I've always thought about destiny and mythic vision as the same thing!

Thanks for the ..........food for thought!

Aho!
